This is where I and the true sci-fi geeks differ. I don't really care about stuff like this. In real life, I don't care how cars get from place to place. In that I don't require my stories to explain fuel combustion engines. Or even biodiesel. I think that's a thing. I mean, if something that was OBVIOUSLY wrong or impossible (not beyond my comprehension, but within my comprehension and not possible) I would not like it, but in general, I don't need to know details like this.

Probably the same way anything else got from one planet to another--hyperdrive. I get the feeling mass isn't much of an issue as hyperspace has its own physics.
