Will we have that Bright future?
Political chicanery, pollution, abuse, wars... I have stopped heeding most news, and still am despondent.
I truly believe people are mostly pretty kind and decent, and that humanity will eventually outgrow our preteen angst period yet...
Do any of you have words of hope, good visions of the future to share?
I need them tonight...

I understand your feelings totally.
Sad to say, I largely gave up.
I stopped trying to save the world, because it doesn't want to be saved.
So now I preserve what I can, make life better for myself and my family.
I gave up trying to change political parties and industry.
On the up side, what I aim for now is more achievable,
I have some really nice places I can go that I have helped to preserve,
I enjoy life most days,
Life can still be good.
I hope it becomes more enjoyable for you also.

Bev, I read your post and glad you can share your thoughts. There are a lot of good things going on out there, but that's another story I guess, as you probably know. I hope you can come out of the despondency you talk about, because it's a hard place to be in. You're right about people being kind and decent for the most part. That's pretty positive.
