What are your Top 5 comic book films, if you like comics? Mine are:

  1. The Dark Knight
  2. Logan
  3. Sin City
  4. Batman Begins
  5. Wonder Woman

As you probably noticed, I'm not the most die-hard MCU fan, although I do love a handful of them. In my opinion, most installments have far too much forced/painfully obvious scripted humor for my taste. It's the most unpopular opinion I have.

Hmm with a bit of thought...

  1. Watchmen
  2. Iron Man
  3. The Dark Knight
  4. Superman
  5. Guardians of the Galaxy

The current flavour of the month for comic book movies is resulting in some decent efforts. I've not yet seen Justice League, Wonder Woman and a few others... I'm lagging.

Writer/cartoonist I have been in the comic book/strips business all my live.I worked on the He-Man strips (4 years and a half) on Jonah Hex, Hulk
etc...I wasn't never a fan of movies about super-heroes..but the first Superman with Reeves and the recent Wonder Woman with Gal Gadot.
What a pretty woman !. Presently I work mostly for Europe where I can do comics about western ,mystery. romance history...I am tired of super-heroes. Still fan of the Golden Age's comics strips.

    A dinosaur for sure....

For me I'd say Logan, Watchmen, Deadpool, Cap America Winter Soldier, and, believe it or not, Elektra.

Probably Deadpool, Sin City, and the Dark Knight trilogy as a whole. Soft spot in my heart/shoutouts for the first Tim Burton Batman and the original TMNT trilogy. Both horrible but in a good way.

In no particular order: Deadpool, Sin City, Kick-Ass (both of them), Watchmen, Batman Begins.

Honorable mention: The Dark Knight, Iron Man, The Winter Soldier, Logan, Mask of the Phantasm.

Love seeing all the love for Watchmen. It's my #6. Easily the best film Zack Snyder will ever direct.

With honourable mentions to Sin City, Watchmen and 300

2

Deadpool
Kickass (1 and 2)
V for Vendetta
The Crow
Dredd (not the Stallone abomination)

Dark Knight, 300, Sin City, Deadpool, Watchmen.

(I do also like WW but not as much as everyone else did even as I think Elektra was really underrated.)

Yeah, I have a similar issue with DC, but not with forced humor, specifically. My issue is that DC (with the exception of the Dark Knight films) has terrible script writers. I thought Suicide Squad was a terrible waste of talent in a potentially great film. Generally, I prefer all of the Marvel films, but I did like Wonder Woman. I also thought the Superman installment with Brandon Routh was good. Space was a great Lex Luthor. You made me think about this a bit because I really love SH films in-general:

  1. Iron Man (and I can't eat just one, so all three with IM2 coming in 3rd in this group)
  2. Captain America, First Avenger
  3. Guardians of the Galaxy (yeah, both of'em)
  4. The Dark Knight
  5. Black Panther

I haven't seen Infinity War yet. I agree with your forced humor opinion to an extent, particularly in Thor, Ragnarok. That was probably the worst Marvel script I've heard so far. In all the other films, it works pretty well, at least for me. Worth mentioning here also is the X-Men series. I was a big fan of the books as a teenager. In the films, I REALLY love the Quicksilver character who is a scene-stealer every time he appears. He single-handedly saves X-Men, Apocalypse for me.

  1. Captain America
  2. The Dark Knight
  3. Batman Begins
  4. The Watchmen
  5. Superman (The first Christopher Reeve one)

Which Captain America? My favorite of the trilogy is Winter Soldier (also my favorite MCU movie).

Dang-it! I love Watchmen too!

@TheDarkNolanite Winter Soldier is good but I really like the first one. I thought they did a nice job bringing the comic to the big screen.
