The late and great Bill Hicks gives his take on reality. I would like to believe that he is right but I lack the evidence to prove that he is.
Bill Hicks, not surprisingly, was accepted more in the U.K. I loved the guy. He was way ahead of his time...especially for the ever devolving U.S.
He certainly was. For me the best 'comedian' to come out of USA. Insightful and very uncomfortable for many people I understand. In UK it was mooted that he was 'helped to the exit door' by certain echelons of society but I don't know if that was speculation or there may have been a grain in there
@Geoffrey51 Actually, he died of cancer.
@SheBeSecular thanks for that. A conspiracy theory exposed!
@Geoffrey51 My pleasure. Remember when Letterman had his mother on the show after he died, to apologize for not allowing Hicks on the show?
@SheBeSecular no I don't know anything about that. Hicks and Lettermsn would have been a fabulous show!
I watched a documentary on Bill Hicks and he was a very interesting person off the stage as well as on it. He did a lot of mushrooms and it definitely gave him a unique perspective for a comedian, cancer took him far too soon.
One of my favorite comedians. Ahead of his time, very deep, real and very funny.
