My neurologist just referred me to a hemotologist because he thinks I have polycythemia. Anyone have any experience with this

If you have it, there would an underlying reason.

Some patients claim relief from using cannabis oil, but it's anecdotal right now.

Thanks. They have been trying to figure that one out for 18 years, seen like 30 or more doctors including the mayo clinic. No one knows. They theorized it was caused by the hep c but they cured that 2 years ago with it only getting worse. It actually seems like its really getting bad since they cured me. My neurologist looked over past labs and notice all my white, & red blood cells, hemoglobin (16.1), and others were steadily climbing since 2016. He seemed pretty concerned but I've had so many tests over the years that I always expect they will say no its all normal. Ive been told I might have a lot of diseases but I'm always skeptical.
