It's the first day of June, which means lots of lovely things.
The days here are a most pleasant and bearable 27 to 29 degrees (80 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit) with low humidity and loads of sunshine.
The evenings are lo.o.ng, meaning extra time for lazy sundowners, and other such after-work activities.
The nights are still cool, dropping down to around 24 degrees (75 Fahrenheit), warm enough to allow one to paddle around the house naked, but cool enough to be able to sleep.
But best of all for lecherous old men such as myself, all the women here are wearing brightly coloured, short sleeved summer blouses and short skirts !!

@walklightly The interior of Southern Spain and the interior of Southern Australia are remarkably similar, but 6 months apart. Where I live, Mojacar, the weather is remarkably similar to that of Perth, where I have quite a few ex-Kenya friends.

Yeah. And with it temperatures higher than blood heat.
Early summer is great. Unfortunately, here it's been in the high 80s and muggy with a thunderstorm every day. It's supposed to get better, though.

I hate humidity.
I love the interior of Spain where in July it can be up to 44 degrees, (up to 110 Fahrenheit) but so dry that you don't feel sticky and your sweat keeps you super cool.
@Petter I've experienced that in our western states, but never spent a large amount of time there. I did live in California, but most of the time it's not that extreme.
@tnorman1236 Californian heat was most pleasant, both times I went there on holiday.
I am so jealous. I wish I was there. We are coming into winter, cold winds today and 13 C during the day. I don't even want to think about nighttime temperature.

Wearing shorts and light-weight shirts. The beaches (5 miles of them) are becoming well populated with sun worshippers.
