“Scientists do not join hands every Sunday and sing "Yes gravity is real! I know gravity is real! I will have faith! I believe in my heart that what goes up, up, up must come down, down, down. Amen!" If they did, we would think they were pretty insecure about the concept.”

They do not join is services for gravity because it is REAL No need to confirm every week that something is real if it is indeed real. Now religion on the other hand is not real and needs to join in prayer every week to enforce a loyalty or a universal guilt.

What we need is an Agnostic/ Atheist hymnal.

The first one in the book would have to be Monty Pythons "Galaxy Song"

Heres Stephen Hawking singing it

As long as they also served potluck dinners and had afternoon softball games, I'd be there!
I used to love the church ball games..hilarious, and more entertaining than the professional baseball games-plus, no spitting!

Yes, gravity loves me.
Yes, gravity loves me.
Yes, gravity loves me.
My physics book tells me so.

That's the first Dan Barker quote. I've seen, and I particularly value his views because of what he gave up to maintain his integrity.

You deserve extra points for that.

Yeah, but admit it, wouldn't it be kind of fun?

I just about to say the same thing!

I am so down

Still, sometimes orchestrating godless gatherings is like herding cats.
