Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.The founding fathers when drawing up the Constitution, I believe, were referring to white male landowners. Everyone else was peripheral; wives, children and slaves considered property. Amendments over the years have attempted to change things but geez we still need one state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.
It is not enough to say we are all equal, until the violence stops, until the justice system treats ALL the same (wealthy vs poor is a huge problem regardless of ethnicity) it's just a word salad on old paper.
In one sense the belief in a word salad on old paper can apply to the bible. Just my opinion, I could be wrong

You call them "founding", out of respect I guess, I call them "fumbling"... out of a racist, is racist, is a racist and many were slave owners. We both know they were fucked up individuals.
@GipsyOfNewSpain Out of respect I suppose since the whole idea was to get out from under British rule. You are 100% correct about the 'a racist (or racism born from misogyny?) is a racist, is a racist'. The landed gentry control goes back to the treatment of the Irish. The British rule was brutal, crushing and dehumanizing.
I grew up in New Jersey 30 miles from Philadelphia and the history lessons were NATURALLY slanted to the glorification of these men. Fumbling is better. 
@silverotter11 I remember doing the "Duck Tour" in Boston, MA. Among things mentioned in the tour was that "Sam Adams" when inherited the brewery, droved it into near bankruptcy. He was a Failure as a Brewer. I still waiting for america to drop it's colonies in the caribbean. You Know?

@bigpawbullets Nah, I was just being Silly!!!! I do found amusing... not you... that many americans use as a point of reference for not being racist President Obama either liked him or voted for him and I always ask them... what are you nine years old? Because it is suspicious that point of reference to me.
Like I had said before I learn about racism in the continental usa and had to live in Europe to debunk the whole thing.
