Unfortunately the problem is that not enough people are reflecting on their experiences and their role in things to become wise. Nosce te ipsum.

Most elderly persons are wise, they just don't realise it ?

So true but so many are ignorant today they do not realize their experiences are providing them with wisdom. Agreat example is that people continue to pray without any results.

Actually it has been scientifically proven that prayer does work. The thing people are overlooking is that all prayers seem to be effective and it does not matter which God/god/godess they are praying to so is it a placebo effect? Is it faith? It is definitely not their god making it work or it would only work for the "true believers" so why it works is the question being ignored. This article is a perfect example of people jumping from "prayer works" right into religion being the key. If religion were the key then the false religions would not be able to pray and get positive results so their conclusions are way off base but there is power in prayer (meditation?). It would be great if an objective study were done instead of this very biased dogma being assumed. [newsmax.com]

@CreativelyMe People have been praying for peace for thosands of years and it does not get them anywhere. When the prayer doe not save a life it was god calling them to a better place. They ignore or choose to believe what they want.
@Marine Very good point but peace is a concept. I should have specified physical healing.
