Objectification only requires a differential in power. Although currently women are mostly objectified by men, when you boil it down to a differential in power gender is only relevant in regards to which gender has more power in a particular culture. Women can objectify other women, just as men can objectify other men.

As a sweet never been kissed 16 year old l remember seeing a book my older sister had left on the table 'Women on Top' by Nancy Friday. A book about womens sexual fantasies. Now that was quite an eye opener!

I have that somewhere. And there's a brilliant Black Lace collection of lesbian stories which I found quite shocking as a grown man. Shocking in the good way.
The word erotica was invented by the media as a means of using softer language to avoid calling it what it is; pornography.
It's very difficult for some to swallow the notion that women watch porn, get themselves off to thoughts of naked men and even occasionally pay for sex. Just like men do.
True story.....
A few months ago I was in Costa Rica. While in line at immigration, I was chatting with a woman to pass the time before we got our passports stamped. Fast forward two days later, I saw that same woman picking up a hooker at a bar in San Jose.
You'll never hear about that one on Nightline with Barbara Walters.

only mostly by choice but it is right or wrong a mans world. you get a naked woman in gay magazines but not the other way round. woman get paid more for porn shoots unlike nearly everything else. I will always covet beautiful woman. I'm sure men are too.

My neighbor of 20 years across the street was erotica dealer. She would do home parties. Different strokes for different folks. I have no problem with it.
