How about an option for no idea?? I've no knowledge of them and would think they would be as varied as people in any field.

There was no option there to say simply yes or no, depending on myriad other variables.

The fact that somebody is a fiction writer is neither a positive nor a negative off the bat.

Yes, I have and he remains a good friend. I don't see how it's much different than any other vocation.

Is that a roundabout way to ask if women will date someone who's unemployed, "working on a novel",and still living with his parents? Or is this hypothetical person actually supporting himself with his passion? ?

It's about how fabulous of a person you are. ?
