Trivial question: Why do we need a jackhammer, the secret code number, and a flamethrower to open most food products, when bread is sealed with a bit of wire?

I sit corrected and ashamed of myself.
It's all because hot dog buns come in packages of 8 and the wieners come in packages of 10.
