Don't understand what you are asking.

It is a pragmatic question any answer can be equally positive or negative will you rescue me yes why therein lies the trap. Would risk your life is your life more valuable. Vice versa. No, I would let you crash and burn so that you learned to pick your self up and improve.

I would say by nature I would rescue. It is more of a learned behavior than an instinct. Saved a baby once with the Heimlich maneuver did this because I had acquired that skill and have many skills so depending on the situation rescue could be in order.
