I'm 57 and as long as I can remember Canadians have noticed that our US cousins were behind the times on social issues and liberty.

Still, you gotta recognize, the USA has a LOT more livable land, both in size and percentage, as well as unimaginably huge diversity...
And now we have a lot of very big cities!
“Our founding fathers” may not have well imagined some of the issues that have come about as a result (GUNS!).
AND we had a time where people could actually live wild and free. Weed and even cocaine was legal...
I am told even in China weed is legal in the rural areas!
