LINK How the Religious Right indoctrinates its followers with a false version of history

Jeffress has been preaching his “America is a Christian Nation” sermon for a long time. On Sunday he stuck with his usual script. He indicted the “secularists, atheists, and infidels” for “perverting” the Constitution. He chided the federal government’s failure to acknowledge God in the public square. He told his congregation that academics, historians, and teachers have been lying to them about the religious roots of the United States.

Jeffress made one problematic historical reference after another. He made the wildly exaggerated claim that fifty-two of the original fifty-five signers of the Constitution were “orthodox conservative Christians.” He peddled the false notion that the disestablishment clause in the First Amendment was meant to apply solely to Protestant denominations.

False historical narratives and atrocities are not monopolies. Every major religion propagates lies and contains counterfeit lunatic fringes of murderous vermin. Whilst remeniscing about Christian atrocities we ought not forget that they are only various sects descended from Judaism. We ought also point out that political Zionism counterfeits itself as Jewish; propagating a false historical narrative and committing criminal atrocities against humanity too. Let's not be narrow and stingey with recognition. ?

Since the word God is not mentioned in the American Constitution, America is not base on any Religion. Where God in Muslims countries is the Constitution.

Jeffress is a demagogue, plain and simple. What is worrisome is that he represents the views of millions of evangelical Christians.

If they told the truth about this shit, they couldn't sell this shit, and we wouldn't have to put up with their shit.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” - Joseph Goebbels
