Worrisome. Dehumanizing generally comes right before atrocities are committed. It's how people justify horrific acts to themselves.

There is no hate like christian love.
It is depressing, yet, they are using that part of their book that says their "god" puts all leaders in place. So, they are ignoring the leadership of Pol Pot, Mao, Hitler just to name a few.
