Which books would be included in the Bible , were selected by a man who was born and raised Pagan . He only converted because he wanted the church to accept him as an Emperor . This goes back to the Byzomtyme Empire . More books have been found - the Red Sea Scrolls , some 80 or so years ago . They were turned over to the Catholic Church to be conserved and translated . Many have , and some small parts of the translation are available , if you know where to look . Some are being withheld .

Not for nothing, but with every single translation and reprint, the bible was changed. And always to reflect the beliefs and agendas of those doing the financing.
The King James version changed every reference to woman as 'prophet' to woman as 'servant'.
Most believers have no clue about the history of their "holy" books.

@KKGator You are absolutely correct . When a monk sitting in dim light is translating , and he's working with a difficult to read Latin transcript , he can make an error , especially if his understanding of the words isn't clear , and it doesn't seem to fit with the religion he learned . Later translations from misinterperted Latin into all other languages of the world and times in history when what is normal has changed , can also lead to other differences . It's true that it has changed over the centuries .

Far too many evangelicals see women only in subservient roles. That is one HUGE reason why we should NEVER allow religion to co-mingle with politics.
