I believe they have provisions for such instances in other places involving holding cells and TV monitors. Seems like something of that nature could have been done.

This is deplorable.
He could be held in contempt or removed until his attorneys spoke, but I don't believe this is right. The judge needs to understand the defendant is who has skin in the game and could be a bit demanding and may not have the restraint to speak on his own behalf. Looks like they do this as their Standard operating procedure for this.

Has be against his human rights I would have thought.
