An eloquent, wise and beautiful speech by Anne Hathaway. Bravo!

To me, love is an action verb. It's making daily decisions.

"I will always love you, but I don't like this behavior. You may not act disrespectful to me," I told my daughter Claire as a teenager, and walked away.

"Where are you going?" Claire asked, startled.

In parenting Claire, I focused on behavior, and was careful not to attack her personally.

"You need to clean up your room before going out," is different from calling her a "slob."

Very well said and I agree with her every word. Today we find that many need you to be worth less so they can feel they are worth more. It is simply wrong thinking. On love I might add that love is more than tingly giddy feelings one person may have for another. Those things do not last and they fade away. Love is a decision.
