I find the uproar with googley eyes being considered "vandalism" ridiculous. Really? Just pull them off. Vandalism is destruction of property. Clearly not the same.

I do not care about what happens to statues of dead people.
A pair of sticky eyes is hardly "vandalism".
He was a slave owner anyway.
There's more pigeon shit on more "monuments" than there is respect for, or knowledge of, whatever has been erected to "honor" whoever or whatever.
