Burial at sea naked, arteries cut and a pair of cement boots in 50 fathoms sounds reasonable to me .... your flesh feeds the fish, your water content is after fish processing returned to the ocean as fish urine, the ocean is evaporated into cloud which falls as rain to be collected and drunk by animals and people. The fish may be caught and simply sold for food, may be made into fertiliser which is used to grow food for consumption, again passing through a living body.
Is that a bit of classy recycling or what?

Don't forget the heavy metals & polymers that you collect as well .

I like the idea of the pictured coffin. The best graveyard that I ever saw was a small field on a hillside backed by wood and facing across a valley. Although it had been used a hundred years there were few graves. Only paupers were allowed!

Well put me in a coffin, in a small room with a dehumidifier, wait until I'm dry enough and burn me in the fireplace. At least than I'm for a last time useful to people to heat their room. I think that's pretty neat. I'm dead anyway, so why should I care.

By the way, I just realized that that happened in Egypt many years ago. They had so many mummies found all over the country that they used them as fuel for steam trains. (don't judge me on historicity, I heard this long ago).

Jerky for the dogs?

@Gert your thinking of the Coney Island Ghost Train!

@FrayedBear No, also in Egypt. A real train.

That reminds me of this recent article. Which I am seriously considering.

Seems really nice. I hope it isn't quashed by some dumb city ordinance.
