Ah but they are. This behaviour is literally everywhere. Don't make the mistake.of thinking the people you know are different. That is highly unlikely, statistically.

@EdEarl I don't think you do. This behaviour is much more common than people would like to think. It isn't just a "few bad apples". It's comforting but untrue to think so.

@OpposingOpposum Ten thousand children a year in the US forced to perform five times a day, which occurs in a country of over 300,000,000 people. So, 50,000/300,000,000 is 50/300,000 = 1/6000 people. There are always two involved in sex, so 1/3000. In a city of 1M men and women, assume half are men. so a city of 500,000 men would be about 166 men per day sexually abusing children. That's less than 0.04%, provided my math is accurate and assumptions are reasonable.

I don't know why you are challenging my understanding. What do you expect. I suffered child abuse, and think child abusers should go to prison, whether sexual or not.

I can't read it either. If I could be in a room with one of these guys I'd be guilty of torture and ultimately murder. It is a very difficult subject.
