LINK Trump Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Meeting in Private with Putin | Vanity Fair

Nothing to see here!

If you’re a U.S. president whose campaign ties to Russia are being investigated by the Justice Department, who has been consistently accused of acting in a manner that suggests the Russian government has “got” something on you, and who, on at least one occasion, has revealed classified intelligence gathered by another country to two Russian envoys, it’s probably not the greatest idea to meet with the president of Russia without someone there to record the details of what was discussed. But, surprise! That’s exactly what Donald Trump did just a few short months ago. Again.

The Financial Times reports that at the end of an evening event at the G20 summit in November, Trump sat down with Vladimir Putin “with no translator or note-taker from the U.S. side to record the dialogue between the leaders.” The private chat—which was also attended by Melania Trump and Putin’s translator—took place after Trump canceled formal talks following Russia’s attack on three Ukrainian ships in the Sea of Azov. While the White House has admitted that the two leaders did indeed meet, people familiar with the matter say—and you might want to sit down for this—that the conversation “appeared longer and more substantive than the White House has acknowledged.” The White House has also attempted to characterize the Putin sit-down as just one of several “informal” chats Trump held with counterparts that evening, the difference being that, to our knowledge, there aren’t any questions about possible collusion between the president’s 2016 campaign and, say, Australia or Germany.

My understanding of the secret deal Trump and Putin are working...

Russia invaded Crimea and Eastern Ukraine so President Obama levied the sanctions.

Exxon-Mobile and Russia wanted the big deal to drill for the 7 Trillion dollars in oil in the Arctic region of Russia's north shore. With global warming the Arctic ice has been melting and now this area was now going to be open water to drill. The Russians needed Exxon Mobile because they had the equipment and technical knowledge to drill in Arctic regions. Also the Oil Tankers to transport the oil.

With the sanctions, this deal was no longer possible. The Russians knew if Hillary were President they would have problems. But I think the Russians had a relationship with Trump from his hooker episodes when he was running the Beauty Contest in Moscow. I think they "owned" Trump because they loaned him money for Real Estate when American Banks wouldn't touch him because of his Atlantic City Casino bankruptcies. So the Russians colluded with Trump to make him President so he could remove the sanctions. They were successful in getting Trump elected.

Trump made Tillerson CEO of Exxon Mobile, Secretary of State to cement the deal once the sanctions were removed.

Manafort, Page, and Flynn.... even Kushner and Sessions were all enlisted to work the deal for Trump to remove the sanctions so Exxon Mobile ,Russia, and Trump could make huge money on the oil.

As an added "benny" Trump worked against the EPA, the Paris Accord, auto efficiency standards, so renewables would not undermine the market for carbon fuels.

Trump and Putin want to eliminate sanctions so they can make billions exploiting the Arctic oil fields.

As usual you are missing the point. The sanctions are supposed to punish Russia for invading Ukraine. The Trump/Putin conspiracy is trying to subvert American foreign policy in order to make money. @powder

Two questions!
(1) Has any other American leader ever met in private with leaders of any foreign nation?

If the answer is yes then Vanity Fair can go STFU! And EAD! While they’re at it.

But if by chance the answer is no then why is it such a fucking problem other than y’all having HRC’s excuse for losing stuck in your throats?

Just saying that Russia gate was a fucking joke and so far mueller will have to depend on the states of New York and New Jersey to actually prosecute trump for tax fraud because the Russia thing isn’t quite sticking directly to him. Just saying

@48thRonin Turns out that no, presidents do not EVER meet with foreign leaders without State Dept & US translators present, especially foreign adversaries like Putin. Reason being to have corroboration for refuting any claims and to have State Dept staff aware of what's being discussed. Only this particular shitferbrains president thinks he's entitled to make whatever secret deals he likes without any constraints. The rest of your comment sounds like typical Trumpist bullshit so I'm not interested in anything else you have to say.

@jerry99 Ooooooh the Russians
[quora.com]

Seriously Putin isn’t an adversary and I can give two shits about trump but I’m pretty fucking tired of all of the shit for brains reactionary behavior and lies about Putin and Russia.
Sorry if he saved his country from us

Really? wow...just what a nice guy like him does...have a friendly chat with someone who doesn't even speak the same language...what is he thinking? oh...nevermind...

When you're in love, you don't need words.

@Sticks48 lol...when I went out to lunch today, I saw a bumper sticker with Putin/Trump in a heart...nearly hit the car I was laughing so hard...but it really is sort of...odd...

@thinktwice Ain't it though.
