There is no better proof of our Politicians being bought.

I'm waiting for a comprehensive list of NRA supporters who sell products. Perhaps boycotting would work?

Yes if I fly it will be Delta.

Sports equipment: Dick's Sporting Goods.

General items: WalMart.

@WizardBill Yes! And bump stocks etc... just like Dick's did. And raised the age limit to 21. They actually stopped selling "sporting rifles" in 2015.

It would take a lot more than that to make me drop my Walmart boycott.

@RavenCT I am not making a conservative remark here just pointing out some bad experience:
DELTA Dont Even Leave The Airport

When is the next election. Time for 18's and mommies to show their muscle. Anybody remember what happened to roy moore? I bet it could happen again and again and again and again. Go get them, voters.

Republicans are so bought.

The other day, after reading about several companies severing relationships with the NRA, I visited NRA.com to see which companies were still partnering with them. At that time, there were quite a few, but by then ALL of the car rental companies had severed relations, and when I clicked on the car rental choice, it just went back to the homepage. I visited NRA.com again a few minutes ago. There is a wine club, prescription service, and a couple of insurance companies, and that is it. They are definitely reeling. In a banner headline, they are soliciting donations to HELP FIGHT THE SOCIALIST WAVE.

More GOP garbage.

I 'd say let's boycott any vacations to to Georgia. But a trip to Georgia isn't on my bucket list.

Arrived in Georgia (I was much younger) and my friend says "Don't walk on the lawn." - Me "Why?"... "Poisonous Snakes". Would I have gone knowing that? Nope. He knew me too well! lol Also "Huge Flying Cockroaches!".

7

That doesn't sound legal to me? I'll bet Delta is talking to its lawyers

I think the true best answer is to take their HQ, whatever tax-generating business-admin, and go to another state, Charlotte and others, I'm sure, would love to lure Delta out of Atlanta - typical GOP shoot-in-footism (heh, shooting 🙂 )

Since when does the law stop them?

6

Wait I thought Republicans were all for letting businesses do things as they as please ? I guess until you disagree with them !

Delta has to inform the employees of this action and let them know how this impacts the company. Give fair warning that other states embrace free thinking and that other states could be an option for Corporate relocation. Then Delta should sit back and see how local pols react and kowtow. MONEY/JOBS/TAX REVENUES speak the language pols understand.

I called Michael Williams' office yesterday to communicate my displeasure.
They were perfunctory on the phone. I knew this stupid bill was going to pass.
I can't wait until the midterms. Time to clean house!

I suppose my state is 2nd only to Alabama for a state run by INBRED, bought and paid for STOOGES, from a Governor who just doesn't give a f**k to all the other redneck sorry state senators and representatives who represent ONLY their corporate campaign contributors - obviously, the push to dumb-down education is working overtime here, because these idiots keep electing-reelecting the Worst ever assholes

5

Actually, the Georgia governor is punishing the people of the state more than Delta. Maybe some companies see that the carnage that the NRA promotes is counterproductive to ethical business practices.

5

Delta is welcome in Washington state!

4

At least they're not trying to hide the fact they only want the NRAs money and not to actually represent anyone. I mean, we've known it for decades but at least they're like "hey guys, we finally feel comfortable enough with our corruption we'd like to share it with the world!"

4

Ugh. I'm sure this would happen in Oklahoma too if they were here.

4

they'll be sorry if Delta pulls their flights out of Atlanta. fly the friendly Skies.

Virginia and NJ already made offers to Delta...

woohoo!
the conservative elements of government are so scared of losing the NRAs money, and worse having it spent against them in the next primary. I love seeing the right wing in a pickle.

4

evil abounds

3

Surprise surprise

3

Already? Wow that was quick, too bad they can't get anything substantial done.

2

Of course they did. Hope Delta doesn't cave.

2

Crony Capitalism at its grossest

1

That's a good way to get delta to start looking at other hubs

1

There is something wrong with the government when it becomes involved in the public sector. It has no business in doing anything to punish a company for it's position . This is as bad as letting the churches take political positions which they have no business doing.

After reading this, we shouldn't be jumping on Delta's bandwagon simply because of the bill. The title is a bit misleading,
And I'll leave you with this from experience:

DELTA Dont Even Leave The Airport

It sounds like the State legislators in Georgia have a lot in common with their Illinois counterparts.Given the choice between keeping a company that contributes to the state economy by paying corporate taxes and providing employment, and a company that contributes to their campaign coffers, it is a no-brainer. They will choose the campaign contributions every time. Priority number 1 is to get reelected.
