Just like many other things Trump has done, the readiness profile of the Marines has been diminished. This is true to many federal agencies because of the partisanship and incompetence of his appointees. It is a result of many good employees leaving, as well, leaving less competent and/or inexperienced employees and understaffed agencies. And, many of those who remain have poor morale.

Trump doesn’t have a clue about managing anything, takes too many shortcuts and treats the US government as if it is his personal fiefdom to run as he sees fit, Constitution and laws be damned.

It’s time others in government and Republicans stood up to him, called him out on his shit. And, for Republicans, apologizes to America for their complicit behavior and explain just how badly his base has been conned. Then, they need to remove him (and Pence) as expeditiously as is possible.

And, if he is indicted for the illegal things he has done, so be it.
