When America was trying to be different from the European oppressors, many things were changed the race tracks horses ran counter clockwise the measure went to standard from metric. However the rules, laws to live by are very similar to European, based on religious principle. This was not breaking free just adopting a more religious progressive place. This is most prevalent in the Salem witch trials. Even the constitution is a religious document. As non believers our rights were never considered.

Never thought about racetracks running counterclockwise but they do. Know a lot about Salem, MA-and my ex-husbands family is related to one of those they hung. Been to Salem many times around Halloween-fun place..

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the BLESSING of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. I capitalize one of the hints in the preamble.
