Needs a centrist democrat to take and hold the centrist opinions, forcing trump to adopt a stance further to the right and marginalising him - otherwise trump will win again

Won't happen will be more to the center after the dust settles

Most people need to consider what "left" really means...it is not a direct route to socialism or whacko, unattainable ideals...it is a direct response to what is realistically happening to everyone in the USA...automation and loss of jobs, health care concerns, climate and natural disasters, women in the work force, diversity...

We have been moving toward more progressive policies for some time but the hard right wants to call it radical leftism...I think many of the current contenders have done a good job explaining what they want for everyone...people who listen realize then that it is not as radical as some of the newly elected congress people in the news sound like...

Even conservative democrats like myself can listen and ascertain that we need some of these changes...if we don't include our most vulnerable and youngest members in the voting pool, then yes, we will lose to the old outdated party that is not for them...

I will vote for any Democrat as well, but, I sort of feel like to do so means that I have to give the reins to the younger and more active people whose future is much more at stake than mine...time to retire and go along with them.
