Remember Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men “you can’t handle the Truth”, or the commentary on reality by The Matrix.

Quantum physics denies the macro experience when observed (or not observed) from a quantum viewpoint. Perceived reality collapses.

Truth seems to have no grounding other than a current perception that we entertain.

We’d like to think that we are capable of knowing the truth but actually all of our knowledge is superficial. There’s no such thing as an airtight proof because every logical system is founded on definitions and assumptions. An assertion can be true in one system and false in another. Or it can be undefined or meaningless. It can be undecidable.

Most of the deep questions about existence are meaningless from a cosmic perspective. Even the very concept of existence is over our heads.

As mentioned on another thread . . . . using part of Einstein's Theory of General Relativity . . . . If you are on a train, and you drop a rock from it, you see, irrefutably, (neglecting air resistance of course), the rock drop to the ground in a straight path . . . . . but the observer who is watching the train go by, sees, irrefutably, the rock drop in a parabolic curve . . . .

The Truth sometimes requires a very wide view of things . . . with nothing absolute.

Quoting a made up conversation isn't a good way to begin looking for it though, imo.

While the potential for delusion is always present, many truths seem to be knowable. We should not be discouraged by the ignorance that surrounds us. Indeed, the search for truth, and even grand Truth may well be the one worthwhile aspiration in life. Physics and evolution count as grand Truths.
