I thought they had identified the poison used and that these two possibilities exists:
1: It was definitely Russia.
OR
2: Russia allowed it to be used.

Regardless of whichever, it points to Russia.

It was probably the Russians. From their prespective he was a traitor since he was originaly a Russian spy who switched sides by becoming a double agent and started spying on the Russians for us, and his daughter would be seen as 'collatoral damage'.

As for the chemicals being similar to those created by Porton Down, most nations that posses chemical and biological weapons use the same ones, cyanide is cyanaide, antharax is anthrax, ricin is ricin etc.

It's a shame you feel like that. But hypothetically it was likely done by Britain or Russia and Britain's not going to say it was them. But also if it was England they could easily of covered it up, quite a few people thought that the victims were just unwell, which offered a natural cover up.
There's very little we can do about it is there? We just have to watch how those in power handle the situation. Europe is asking for the relevant evidence, so I guess it will go from there.

I understand what you're saying though; it's difficult to understand how they can say with certainty that a chemical that's been out since the '80's had a specific origin. I guess the experts in the field know what they're on about, they usually do
