LINK Texas appeals court blocks Rodney Reed execution

Those of us who closely follow capital punishment cases have watched this one intently.

It's a widely accepted conclusion that she was murdered by her fiance, a cop, when he learned she'd had a consensual sexual relationship with Mr. Reed. He (the former cop) has confessed to the murder to a number of people over the years. There are new witnesses and missing DNA tests and tests results in this case. Thus far, the prosecution/State has refused to DNA test the murder weapon.

He's lucky normally they would execute automatically it's Texas

@SeaGreenEyez True, judges are elected in TX.

@EdEarl but they are elected by Texans!

@Barnie2years Good point. Although, there is a possibility Texas may vote blue in the next presidential election.
