There was actually a 6 or 8-part TV series about 3 years ago that did that theme to perfection....the horror!. Cannot remember it's name now, but a pile of mammoth carcasses defrosted & the viruses released made people go homicidal.
@altschmerz maybe...it was pretty gripping, and quite plausible, mostly. Ashamed to say i paid no attention to the title once i put it in the DVR......
