Americans lose the right to vote if they are convicted of a felony in 48 of the 50 states. If they are citizens then why can't they vote upon their release instead of long after it matters? This country does a lot to railroad people into the prison system and they get people when they're young, assuring that their voice will be silenced. Prisoners should be allowed to vote and serve jury duty and be involved in the process of deciding how the country should work.
This country needs to correct the wrongs of yesteryear and the Dems are the only ones who will do it. The GOP is trying to keep this country white by manipulating the voter rolls and redistricting.
