Capitalism places a check on socialism. Then also socialism places a check upon capitalism. Where is the balance is the question. Grandpa started a business when Grandma couldn't. Greek grandpa had an ice cream store during the Depression & Hungarian grandpa had a barbershop. Neither grandma had any rights until FDR provided for children who were eating lettuce sandwiches. 85% of jobs are created by small businesses. Grandma was not permitted to create a job because she was required to be barefoot in the kitchen & pregnant. Could not get credit because she had a double XX chromasome. Birth control was illegal until 1964. And she is still paid less than someone with a Y chromasome. Small business creates jobs, not multinational corporations
