The quote from Darwin makes me wonder just how we will all adapt to the changes coming at us so fast every day. It would seem that those who resist change risk perishing and those who accept, study, modify, cause, and embrace change will survive - perhaps even thrive and grow.

Darwin is speaking in an evolutionary context, not a social one. Although I agree there are obvious parallels, by the same argument, the best thing to do in germany during the war was to become a nazi.
