A pilot friend of mine who is also an airplane inspector said the industry will be changing to smaller planes and fewer flights. He said some 700 airline pilots will lose their jobs. The only American airline not in trouble is Southwest Airlines, the best run airlines in this country for decades. Why other airlines did not follow their business plan I will never understand and neither does he.
