I used to be addicted to some games, and I would make purchases. Then I saw the credit card bill, and I don't play those games anymore. I avoid in app purchases on almost everything now.

That's pretty outrageous. I suppose if you have to have the status symbol and can afford all the bells and whistles too, they figure they have one on the hook.

I edited the post to add (hypothetical).
"they figure they have one on the hook" is kinda true for all 'in-app" purchases.
