The vast majority of people who visit my page are also men. I noticed that a long time ago, and I don't know why. Certainly there aren't any men here who want to emulate me.

A lot of people check out profiles, often just to find out what part of the world you come from, because that reflects on how they understand your posts. Sometimes it is just accident, it is easy to hover on the profile button without intending it. And as to seventy year old men, well 'we' (am nearly one) generally are lazy lumps with time to waste, so we dominate everything on a site like this.

I like checking out everyone's profiles.. several times.. hahah but really.. i just like to see where people are coming from ..

Face it — you're human Viagra to the septuagenarian crowd. If finding a woman near your age falls through, it's good to know you have options.

Seriously, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I figure most of us turned off the visitor tracking, but some of the older members might not realize that toggle exists. You're probably just seeing a skewed sampling of who visited your profile.

Not everyone is here for romance so visiting someone's profile does not necessarily mean that those men were interested in you romantically. I would hate anyone whose profile I visit to think that I was interested in them romantically.

This isn't a dating website but your confusion is understandable and I'm glad you raised the issue. Now if gay men were hitting on you by pm, that would be different but if your profile is specific, that's not going to happen. Hope that helps.
