Not necessarily , beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Telling me I'm beautiful doesn't flatter me, either. I have a mirror and I have no illusions about how attractive I am or am not. But it makes me wonder if you are shallow, or if you think I am.

I want you Miss Kathleen. So--oo-oh bad.
The Guilty Undertaker sighs, the lonesome organ grinder cries
the silver saxophones say I should refuse you.
I want you I want you I want you, So-oo-oh bad
All my fathers they've gone down
True love they've been without it
But all their daughter's put me down 'cause I don't think about it

@MissKathleen Dylan was known, in the better instances, for lyrical dexterity over substance. That was the trajedy of his career.
But it WAS playful and sometimes actually insightful.
To wit:
Well your railroad gates, you know I just can't jump them,
Sometimes it gets so hard, you see.
I'm just sitting here, beating on my trumpet,
With all these promises you left for me...
But where are you tonight, Sweet Marie?

Enough said.

@MissKathleen Yes it's a Dylan song. Just messing with you, seeing if you'd get it.
And Storm is right about Dylan's wordplay, at least that aspect of it. With the volume of work he put out, there's gonna be a lot of misses. The critics and hard core fans dug deep into him.
I take it as face value and simply enjoy it
He conjured up many a Musical Character, based on many things, a lot of it his observations of people.
Anyway the song is called, of course " I Want You" .

I'll never understand women, which makes it impossible to value and appreciate them.

"I've been watching you in your backyard," my male next-door-neighbor said in my driveway. "You move like a ballerina." A heavy smoker, he smelled disgusting.

Suddenly he grabbed me and forcibly kissed me. "GET OFF ME!" I yelled, roughly pushing him away.

"You don't want to kiss me?" he asked, surprised.

Like many guys, he had a fantasy. He thought because he felt attracted to me, I should be attracted to him. Frightened by his creepy stalking, I moved away.

@MissKathleen

Thank you. I appreciate your understanding and empathy.

@altschmerz

I'm not a violent person.

Being wanted feels good unless there is grabbing or force involved.

Occasionally I think maybe someday I'll want someone back again.

They may want you for you...don't be too judgmental off the top
