Look what Jesus buried!

A few of you were asking about the unique pig ears. The breed is the oldest most sought after farm swine. Pigs are of course foragers, the ears are to protect the eyes. Those noses are pretty powerful and productive!!

Look was was found by the barn this morning! That is an axe and the stone used to carve it, the grove perfectly matches it. It’s at least 5k years old. Next up? A Viking board game, [en.wikipedia.org]

The largest one found in Orkney [ancientgames.org] found in 1976 (good year). The takeaway other than being really freaking cool, this board is probably the largest one not yet on record. It is truly amazing and connecting to feel and hold tools used in this exact spot over 5k years old. Wild world folks.

(Other items not found today but on the beach, an orca tooth and a lot of munitions from WW1)

You live in Orkney? That's a prehistoric part of Scotland. It's a group of islands. What island do you live on? Are you personally involved in digs? That's totally amazing.

I was on Sanday island. and it was the pigs who foraged up the pictured items. I’m well aware of the prehistoric nature of the archipelago.

No its not prehistoric, its still there.LOL
