It's just so strange that consciousness exists. Basically a chaotic and indifferent universe was left to its own devices, and it somehow came up with... well, us.

There are lots of trickster gods aren’t there 
Pan and Coyote, Anansi and Eris. Sometimes the old stories are fun.
