I'll first say that gay rights do matter, but ".. a top legislative priority"? How about Covid relief? Climate change legislation? Health care for all? Getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan? Paid sick leave for all? In other words, big whoop, gay rights bills that cost the rich and corporations nothing.... Oh, I forgot Joe said "Nothing will fundamentally change..".
Gotta love that good ole corporate neoliberal Dem agenda of identity politics that soothes its base but does nothing to improve the lives of most Americans...

The current Supreme court is likely to take away rights from LGBT+ persons, and there is a case on the dockets already.
