LINK Letters From An American 01/02/2021

Today the fight to pick up Trump’s supporters continued. senators, led Ted Cruz (R-TX), said they would object to certifying certain state electoral votes when Congress meets on Wednesday, January 6, to count them. They want a commission appointed to audit the results. This attempt is separate from the one launched yesterday Josh Hawley (R-MO) to object to the counting of the electoral votes from Pennsylvania, but both are a transparent attempt to court Trump voters before 2022 and 2024.

Democracy depends on a willingness to transfer power peacefully from one of leaders to another. revealing that they refuse to do so, the members of the “Sedition Caucus,” as they are being called on social media, are proving they are unworthy of elected office.

If one party controls both houses they will be able to overturn the election of the President of the other party. This will result in a communist style one party government. Democracy will be destroyed in the USA.

Democrats controlled BOTH house from 1955 until 1980 (26 years).
We had a strong middle class and 70% of the GDP made it's way to 90% of Americans. Unions helped protect workers rights.

From 1981 until 1987 the Republicans controlled the Senate and the Democrats the House.
Gave us Reaganomics aka trickle down economics, the erosion of unions and the savings and load
scandal.

From 1981 until 1987 the Republicans controlled the Senate and the Democrats the House.
Wealth continues to move upward.

Democrats recaptured both houses in 87 and held them until 95 .
Wealth continues to move up and wages continue to stagnate.

The Republicans took both houses and held them until 2005.
It was during this time parts of the Glass–Steagall Act were repealed leading many to believe
this lead directly to the recession and financial crisis starting in 2005 and ending around 2008.
Wealth is starting to accelerate it's up ward movement so that by 2017 fully 90% of the GDP goes to the top 10% of Americans and 0% is making it's way to the 90% of Americans.

Just sayin'

@silverotter11 Thanks for the History.
