I'm so sick of politicians telling us what good Christians they are (assuming of course, that we all are) and ending every god damned speech they do with "God bless" or "God bless America".
Politicians automatically equate their beliefs with votes.
The fundies in this country would love to see us turn into a theocracy and the far right has definitely blurred the lines between church and state.

No, what has happened is that evangelicals are using every tactic they can to make religion part of politics, and corrupt politicians are aiding and abetting them.
