But lately, all that Hawley specialness has attracted a special kind of rage from his former allies in the conservative world, too. On January 6, a violent mob stormed the Capitol to stop the certification of Electoral College votes. Five people died, including a Capitol Police officer, Brian Sicknick. When news outlets around the world wrote the story of the riot, many illustrated it with a photo of Hawley, raising his fist to a crowd of then-peaceful protesters.

This is untrue. Josh Hawley pushed lies and conspiracies. He supported Donald Trump's lies about the election, QAnon conspiracies, and domestic terrorists who attacked the U.S. Capitol.
Hawley deserves his fall from grace.

I think people like yourself see through that slick image and glib talk. We have highly functioning bullshit meters. Not to say we haven't had our moments when we were taken in but not usually by a politician.
I can't imagine him being elected president. I hope not anyway.
