We now have a little more information on the “moral failure” that led Canadian apologist Sye Ten Bruggencate to abruptly shut down his ministry last week.
Because he didn’t specify the moral failing, speculation ran wild. Was it something illegal? Did it involve another man? Was it someone in the church?
Now two pastors at Faith Presbyterian Church in Tillsonburg, Ontario — who are now watching over Bruggencate as if he needs babysitters — have posted a brief update on the situation. Aaron Koning and Steve Richardson say that the incident involved a “vulnerable woman“:
This arrogant presuppositionalist jerk who asserts that atheists don't exist, willingly admits that the purpose of presuppostionalism is not so much to change minds as it is to close mouths. All but his and Eric Hovind's, evidently! Bruggencate is fond of asking his debate opponents questions like, "Could you be wrong about everything you know?" and "How do you know you're not just a brain in a vat?" Well Sye, how do you know your not just a hypocritical dick who can't keep his zipper up?
