Huge fan of Bill Maher here. It was interesting though. Earlier in the program he repeatedly berated communism and its failures, which we all agree, though no one was touting communism and he seemed to be conflating democratic socialism, like in Europe, with communism, which is a right wing tactic and hardly helpful. Then at the end he's saying the US should be more like China! I know, he meant more purposeful and less fractious, but even still, I laughed at the irony of it. I suspect the Left will too. He's not very popular with the Left these days.
