Island mentality is a special thing, even on an island the size of the UK or Australia. The US 'don't tread on me' mentality has nothing on islanders.

The USA is the birthplace of liberty. It's legacy is in jeopardy. "Don't tread on me" has been hijacked by the right wing. It was a motto of those who revolted against a tyrannical British monarchy.
