Look who got accepted by the University of Washington!
Dennise, the girl I'm mentoring, was accepted by the University of Washington. The UW is extremely hard to get into.
Each year, University of Washington turns down thousands of applicants with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.Teens need to make a science breakthrough or cure cancer, it seems.
A math genius, Dennise has a 4.0 grade point average. She tutors an entire class of twenty algebra students each week. Dennise teaches students to solve math problems by approaching them from different directions.
Also Dennise plays first viola in two orchestras and a Chamber Ensemble. In Jazz Band, she plays marimba, xylophone and other percussion instruments.
Dennise will be the first person in her family to graduate from high school and go to college.
