Once you get to seeing “God” in everything you’re one step away from finding God indifferent or hostile according to your perspective and his persistent voyeur activity will make prayer become pointless, after all he was there too. So you get on with life and decades later realize you lived just fine even though your religion was only used when referenced on questionnaires.
Just as it would if there were no God.
