Interesting history, well worth the read. There should be a monument, though I suspect that it would cause a lot of trouble.

I agree with Barnie2years that the vast majority of people who say so help me God do it for their own advantage.

This is another example where many atheists value truth more than Christians.

I figure if I say so help me god, it’s as meaningless as saying so help me Santa Clause. And since believers swear on their god all time, then totally do the opposite anyway, it obviously means nothing to them either.
